2024, 2 Person Ambrose Championships | Conditions of Play

1. The Championships will be played over 1 round of 18 holes on Saturday 18 May 2024. Only members with full playing rights on Saturdays are eligible to win the Championship.
2. The Rules of Golf as published by R&A Rules Limited apply, along with the Local Rules printed on the scorecard and the website plus any temporary local Rules on the Proshop Notice Board.
3. Entry fee: $20.00 per player, payable on registration at the pro shop.
4. Handicaps: The Championship will be played in 2 divisions: Division 1 based on team daily (playing) handicap for round 1 up to 7½ (30 combined); Division 2 team playing handicap 7¾ and above (31 and above combined). The ambrose handicap for each team will be ¼ of the combined handicap.
5. A sheet outlining the format of play will be given to each group on registration.
6. Major Trophies: Scratch Winners in each division. Minor Trophies: Handicap Winners in each division.
7. Ties for the championship in each Division will be decided by a sudden-death playoff as determined by the Championship Committee. If a playoff is needed, a referee will be appointed, and the referee’s decision is final. Should there be insufficient time to complete the play off, joint winners will be declared.
8. Ties for all handicap events will be decided using the Golf Australia count back system outlined on the GA website (www.golf.org.au).
9. The use of motorised carts is allowed unless prohibited due to course conditions.
10. All disputes must be referred to the Championship Committee, in writing, within 15 minutes of the completion of the round. Decisions of the Championship Committee are final.
11. The Championship Committee comprises Frank Gal (Captain), Declan Murphy, Ian Jordan and Jason Moss. The Championship Committee reserves the right at any time to alter or vary these conditions.
